History
Ten Feet Tall came together in July 2001. After popular Leeds-based band Trocadero parted in the summer of 2000, Paul and Rik were looking to form a new band. This coincided with Noel leaving Rakish Paddy. Steve was invited to join the band and the first rehearsal was done without a singer. Martyn was invited to the next practice and Ten Feet Tall were formed.
After 10 months rehearsing, we did our first gig as "Somethin' Else" on 6th April 2002 for a 50th birthday. The venue was packed and we went down a storm. The next few gigs were also performed as "Somethin' Else", then a couple of gigs as "Somethin' Else AKA" before we changed our name in November 2002 to "Ten Feet Tall", named after the song by XTC.
As the years have gone by,
we've been gigging regularly and we're a well established and gig all over West Yorkshire and beyond.

In November 2005, we recorded a demo CD at Pravda Studios in Leeds.
In September 2007, Ten Feet Tall temporarily came off the road in order to learn a completely new set list. During the time off, band members had families and changed jobs, but we kept rehearsing and the offers were still coming in! We were back on the road in 2010, and with plenty of new songs too, and it was like we'd never been away!
Onto 2011 and Nozza left the band early in the year. Mark joined us in February and our first gig with the revised line up took place in July.
